Plant Accounting Manager- Sauk Village, IL- 105532

Our client located in Sauk Village, IL is looking for a Plant Accounting Manager to join their team!

Reporting to the Assistant Controller this position ensures that company accounting policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at the plant level. This position is the financial member of the Plant Management team and provides financial information to impact operating decisions at the plant level and directs monthly close and related activities. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including U.S./Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems including but not limited to ERP Systems and Fixed Asset Software. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies. Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities. 7+ years of financial accounting experience with at least 5+ years in a manufacturing
environment. Undergraduate degree in Accounting- MBA/Professional accreditation preferred.

Assistant Controller- Sauk Village, IL- 105533

Our client located in Sauk Village, IL is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team!

Responsibilities include Perform/assist Controller with month-end close procedures, quarterly costing updates, and prepare supporting sub-schedules. Review general ledger expense accounts to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of content on a monthly basis. Provide synapsis of monthly explanation of expenses vs plan and vs prior year for the plants. Manage the Accounting Department consisting of three Plant Accounting Managers and their respective teams. Conduct training and performance appraisals, participate in recruiting process, answer questions, and ensure appropriate workloads exist. Provide high level monthly inventory and fixed asset/deprecation analysis. Ensure integrity of entries into the general ledger from all sub-system modules. Work with the Controller to ensure an adequate system of internal controls are in place to safeguard corporate assets and ensure the integrity of the accounting data. Assist the Controller in the preparation of the annual budget as required. Minimum of 10 – 15 years (preferably in a manufacturing environment). Previous experience with direct supervision of staff. Several years of manufacturing exposure in the areas of inventory costing and complex computerized information systems would be an asset. Controller- Sauk Village, IL- 105528

Ideal candidate will report to the Director of Finance, Business Unit Controller will provide leadership including coordination of company financial closing and related financial affairs. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to both U.S. and Canadian generally accepted accounting principles. Ownership of the company’s general ledger and internal controls. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting along with 7+ years of experience in senior-level finance or relevant accounting positions.
